Responsible to: Service Manager
A. Overview of the position
The Assistant Manager – Services will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of PIA’s marketing and operational tactics for the ‘Service’ solutions. The solutions, primarily, include Installation & Commissioning (I&C), Annual Maintenance (AMC) and repair of equipment that PIA deals with. He/ She will be responsible for implementing PIA’s sales strategies and also ensure that the service delivery is optimally planned and exceeds the expectations of clients, both in the Railways and Industrial segments. He/ She will be responsible for effective coordination with the other functions of the organization, to ensure that the objectives defined above are achieved.
B. Qualification
- Primary: Engineering (Mechanical)
- Additional (preferred): Certification/ Diploma in allied courses
C. Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and service delivery of solutions, for highly technical products, with demonstrated success, preferably in the Railways and Industrial sectors.
- Proven strong technical knowledge of high-value specialized products as well as experience in planning and execution of service solutions.
- Strong technical acumen, in order to understand technical drawings, technical specifications and applications of various specialized products.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise delivery of multiple services by team members, for clients across multiple locations.
- Strong creative, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills, to be able to focus on revenue enhancement as well as quality service delivery.
- Excellent marketing skills, in terms of identifying challenges and recommending solutions to the clients.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in nurturing client relations.
- Proven skills for hiring, developing and appraising engineers for the vertical/function.
- Experience in developing and managing budgets for the vertical/ function.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, data base management and other tools.
- Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams, as required by the business.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.

D. Working Relationship
The position reports to the Service Manager and serves as a member of the operational team.
This position participates with the Service Manager in charting the direction for the ‘Services’ vertical of PIA and manages the assigned ‘Services’ team, assuring its accountability to all the stakeholders. It also has working relationship with other cross-functional teams.
E. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Service Manager, towards guiding the operations of the ‘Services’ vertical of PIA, for its railways and industrial customers;
- Support the Service Manager towards creating, implementing and measuring the success of the ‘Services’ vertical and manage operational departmental budgets;
- Ensure alignment of Service operations to overall business strategy;
- Propose improvement in planning and service delivery, for the service solutions of PIA;
- Responsible for planning and scheduling of visits for I&C, AMC, Repairs and other service solutions, under the guidance of the Service Manager;
- Responsible for ensuring prompt and quality service delivery of service solutions;
- Responsible for devising strategies for generating revenue, through sale of spare parts and by identifying new prospects for annual maintenance;
- Responsible for handling emergency service requests and resolution of customer complaints;
- Assist in hiring, training and development of team members in the ‘Services’ vertical;
- Assist in setting, monitoring and appraising targets and performance goals for the team members in the ‘Services’ vertical, under the guidance of the Service Manager;
- Responsible for identifying the training needs, facilitating the training requirements and developing the team members in the ‘Services’ vertical;
- Provide technical assistance for preparation and submission of bids/ offers, pertaining to service solutions as well as product supply, where needed;
- Oversee procurement of spares, committed through maintenance visits and ensure availability of inventory, in collaboration with the Supply Chain function;
- Maintain quality relationship with the Principals and key customers, under the guidance of the Service Manager;
- Ensure timely generation and submission of Management Reports;
- Maintain database of principals, prospects, customers and contracted services, segregated for Railways and Industries;
- Support the Sales teams, in their endeavors, depending on the need of the business.
F. Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate and collaborate with other functional departments, to facilitate meeting of business objectives;
- Drive initiatives taken by the management, to ensure implementation within the ‘Services’ vertical;
- Ensure the vertical’s adherence to PIA’s policies and procedures, including timely update of various Trackers, pertaining to leads, enquiries and requests for quotations, etc., pertaining to service solutions;
- Ensure that the department’s costs, such as travelling, communication and business development, etc. are controlled and minimized, for effective utilization of the Company’s resources;
- Ensure that the Company’s properties and assets are safeguarded;
- Ensure maintenance of workplace health and safety requirements.
Responsible to: Senior Manager – Supply Chain
A. Overview of the position
The Executive/ Senior Executive – Supply Chain will be responsible for operationalizing PIA’s supply chain strategies. He/ She will be responsible for the activities of supply chain, as delegated by the Senior Manager – Supply Chain. He/She will coordinate at the tactical and operational levels, with the other functions of Premier India Agencies (PIA).
B. Qualification
- Primary: Bachelor of Commerce
- Additional (preferred): Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain
C. Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the supply chain domain is required for the position. Experience in the Railways or Industrial sectors would be preferred.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the supply chain processes.
- Hands-on experience of working in an ERP environment, with respect to sourcing and inventory management.
- Strong strategic, problem solving, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of commercial terms, such as operation of bank guarantee and letter of credit, customs duty and logistics, etc.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, database management and other tools, with advanced skills in MS Excel, for analytics and reporting.

D. Working Relationship
The positions report to the Senior Manager – Supply Chain and serve as a member of the operational team. They also have working relationship with other cross-functional teams.
E. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the policies and procedures, pertaining to supply chain function/ activities, including receiving and inspection of goods, management of stores and inventory, material packaging and dispatch, etc.;
- Assist the Sales & Marketing and Services functions in their endeavors, where needed (e.g. while preparation and submission of responses to tenders, etc.);
- Ensure efficient logistics and transportation for purchase and sales with minimal cost;
- Participate in order fulfillment, in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing and Services, by ensuring timely availability of inventory;
- Ensure that inventory transactions are recorded accurately and timely and that the stock position in the ERP reflects the correct picture;
- Maintain internal controls, with respect to the supply chain activities;
- Undertake and ensure that key inventory reconciliations are performed on a periodic basis;
- Undertake appropriate measures to safeguard the Company’s inventory;
- Provide accurate management reports (pertaining to supply chain), in a timely manner, where needed.
F. Other Responsibilities

Responsible to: Managing Director
A. Overview of the position
This position will be based in Chennai. The Manager – Technical Sales will be responsible for operationalizing PIA’s marketing and sales strategies. He/ She will be responsible for identifying opportunities in Thermal Power Plants in the Southern region of India, evaluating their challenges and converting such leads, under the guidance and in consultation with the Managing Director. He/ She will coordinate at the tactical and operational levels, with the other functions of Premier India Agencies (PIA).
B. Qualification
- Primary: Engineering – Mechanical
- Additional (preferred): Masters In Business Administration (with specialization in Marketing)
C. Experience and Skills
- The position will be based in Chennai. Hence, a fluent Tamil speaking individual, of local origin, will be required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the marketing, communications or public relations domain, with demonstrated success in the ‘Industrial’ segment (specifically Thermal Power Plants).
- Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of marketing, communications and public relations activities.
- Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills and proven understanding of commercial terms, such as operation of bank guarantee and letter of credit, customs duty and logistics, etc.
- Demonstrated successful experience in making presentations.
- Experience in overseeing the design and delivery of marketing campaigns (including print material and digital marketing).
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, data base management and other tools.
- Commitment to work with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communications skills. Fluency in Tamil is a mandatory requirement.
- Ability to handle and effectively manage multiple projects (multi-client, multisegment and multi-location) simultaneously.

E. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in the Industrial sector (especially Thermal Power Plant), considering the portfolio of products and services of PIA;
- Assist in operationalizing the marketing and sales strategies of PIA, under the guidance and supervision of the Managing Director;
- Responsible for ensuring achievement of annual targets for ‘order booking’ and ‘revenue’;
- Accountable for timely preparation and submission of qualitative responses to enquiries/ bids/ offers for product supply;
- Oversee order fulfillment and ensure timeliness of deliverables, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Function;
- Maintain quality relationship with the key customers;
- Undertake periodic and planned customer visits, to identify challenges of the customers and to recommend solutions (i.e. products and/ or services);
- Responsible for obtaining periodic feedback from customers and transmitting the feedback to the Managing Director;
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection of payments from customers;
- Responsible for resolving customer complaints;
- Ensure timely generation and submission of Management Reports;
- Assist in the development and utilization of marketing material, including website, social media pages, print material and other digital marketing media.

The Manager – Sales will be responsible for operationalizing PIA’s marketing and sales strategies. He/ She will be responsible for identifying prospects, evaluating their challenges and converting such leads, under the guidance and in consultation with the Dy. General Manager – Sales. He/ She will coordinate at the tactical and operational levels, with the other functions of Premier India Agencies (PIA).
B. Qualification
- Primary: Engineering [Mechanical (preferred) or Electrical]
- Additional (preferred): Masters In Business Administration (with specialization in Marketing)
C. Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the marketing, communications or public relations domain. Experience in the ‘Railways’ sector is a must.

The Senior Manager/ Manager – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of PIA’s strategies in the finance and compliance domains. He/ She will steer the organization’s activities, pertaining to financial management, accounting operations, reporting requirements, taxation and statutory compliances. He/ She will direct the efforts of the Finance & Accounts teams and coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels, with the other functions of Premier India Agencies (PIA).
B. Qualification
- Primary: Chartered Accountant
- Additional (preferred): Company Secretary
C. Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing Finance and Accounts function, with demonstrated success of contributing towards organizational growth.
- Proven skills, knowledge and experience in the fields of financial management, accounting, management reporting, tax and statutory compliances (including audit).
- Experience in developing and managing organization wide budgets/ forecasts and reporting performances (vis-à-vis budgets) to senior management.
- Strong strategic, problem solving, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial, ERP and integrated accounting systems and their operations.
- Excellent understanding of risks and internal controls, pertaining to financial reporting as well as operational transactions.
- Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of commercial operations, including pricing of products, banking operations (e.g. bank guarantee, letter of credit, etc.), customs duty and logistics, etc.

This position participates with the management team in charting the direction for PIA, assuring its accountability to all stakeholders and ensuring its effective operations. It also has working relationship with other cross-functional teams.
E. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately and timely and the Books of Account reflect a true and fair view of the operations, at all times;
- Be aware about the accounting standards (including amendments), rolled out by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and ensure their adoption in the recording of financial transaction of the Company;
- Undertake and ensure that key financial reconciliations are performed on a periodic basis;
- Coordinate audit, tax and statutory compliance activities and ensure compliance in all aspects, including computation, preparation and submission of tax returns, audit and business reports to the stipulated authorities;
- Drive and control the Budgets and Forecasts, including monthly analysis and reporting;
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to address ongoing operational and capital investment requirements;
- Prepare periodic fund flow statements for the Company and ensure effective fund management (e.g. parking surplus in liquid funds, etc.);
- Responsible for banking operations and relationship, including management of bank guarantees, letters of credit, etc.;
- Undertake appropriate measures to safeguard the Company’s cash and transactions effected through the bank accounts;
- Responsible for generation of invoices (customers and principals, for commission), accounting for collections and management of accounts receivables;
- Undertake financial analysis and cost control initiatives across the different functions of the Company, from time to time;
- Develop and maintain internal controls, pertaining to financial transactions, reporting and operations;
- Implementation and Management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related accounting systems, with adequate user access controls;
- Responsible for processing payroll, including computation of sales incentives and annual bonus, etc. and complying with statutory requirements pertaining to PF and ESI, etc.;
- Hire, train and develop the team for the Finance & Accounts function;
- Set targets, monitor achievements, appraise performance and mentor individuals in the Finance & Accounts function;
- Provide accurate management reports, in a timely manner, to facilitate strategic decisions.
